The city is expanding like crazy and overflowing with new restaurants and venues because of it. The energy and overall kindness is infectious. My family living here totally helped make this one of my favorite city visits so far!
Chantecler: Loved the vibe and decor of this restaurant, it had an old-school home feel but on the contrary served modern food. The classic techniques of chef Colin Rayner really came through in the execution of his food!
Petit Potato: The desserts may take the eye and social media spotlight, but the true value here is in the savory items. Great Pan Asian executions by chef Fiona Cheung!
Night Owl: Amazing venue that gives off a Brooklyn-like vibe because of it's cement graffiti, original video games, classic drinks, and solid food by chef Josh Sexsmith. There's a live music venue downstairs, which is a great value add.
Food and drink sampled:
Go to the following places: Pho Hung on Spadina, Le Select for Brunch, St. Lawrence Market, and order the Peameal bacon sandwich at Carousel Bakery!
