Meet the Chef

With multiple appearances on the Food Network, Food Network Canada, E!, Bravo, and morning shows on Fox, CBS, WNY, and ABC, Jordan Andino has slowly parlayed his culinary skills and vibrant personality into the prototype of this generation’s celebrity chef.Jordan was born in Toronto, Canada and began his foray into the culinary world at bright age of 9. After moving to Manhattan Beach, California he traded in a surfboard and summer beach camps to work in fine dining kitchens with his father, a renowned chef, in Toronto, Canada.

By the time he was a teen, Jordan was armed with an abundant number of hours in restaurant experience. He immediately put it to use, working as a personal chef for families in the Manhattan Beach area, where he impressed the community with his delicious and complex meals. He went on to sharpen his business acumen at Cornell University’s Hotel School of Administration.

With ambitions to be a standout chef, Jordan gained more valuable experience “staging” or interning at some the countries most reputable and respected restaurants such as Jean Georges in NYC, Spago in Beverly Hills, California and the prestigious, French Laundry in Yountville, California under Thomas Keller.

Using his 3 years as both a dual-property executive chef and corporate executive chef with Funbars restaurant group in NYC, Jordan then took the past year to travel the US and consult in the opening of restaurants and new concepts in El Paso, TX, Philadelphia, PA, and 3 units in Manhattan; all the while, taking weekly jobs as a personal chef and catering chef to the East Coast’s elite business men and women.

In 2015, after a full season in the Hamptons at one of the best waterfront properties, Harlow East Sag Harbor, Jordan has now moved into the restauranteur space opening two restaurants in Manhattan as the Executive Chef and owner of Invite Only and 2nd City West Village.  The former being an American tapas supper club located in the Meat Packing district of Manhattan and the latter being a fast casual Filipino Taqueria located in the West Village that resonates Jordan’s vibrate personality and vivaciousness through a graffiti mural, eclectic music, and clean unique flavors.

With two restaurant openings scheduled for spring 2015 and future leases, spaces, and restaurants in sight, it seems that the great city of New York is slowly becoming the stomping ground of a new, fresh, and fun restauranteur!
